Shivam studied Bachelor of Arts and Laws in his home country of India before moving to Australia in 2017 to pursue a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Master of Public Policy & Governance. He was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in December 2021. His interest in immigration arose from the poor and inaccurate legal advice he received when he migrated to Australia, which motivated him to educate himself on Australian immigration legislation. He has since worked in the immigration sector for the past four years, driven to assist people from all walks of life through Australia’s immigration system.
In his leisure time, he enjoys reading both fiction and nonfiction, with recent reads including “Where the Crawdads Sing” and “The Book Thief.” He also loves playing cricket, binge-watching series, and is a passionate car and motorbike enthusiast.
